Dreamy Lakefront Getaway

This hillside house is stunningly located overlooking Wallis Lake. The wide-open design takes full advantage of the beautiful view with plenty of outdoor space and beautifully themed living areas. The attention to detail is outstanding. There are plenty of spaces around the property to entertain, hammocks, fire pits and even a converted barn for events. You're perfectly located 10 minutes from Seal Rocks, Blueys Beach, Boomerang Beach and Elizabeth Beach, easily some of the most beautiful beaches in NSW.

I visited all these beaches during my stay. I got to see Whales Breaching from the Booti Hill Walking Track north of Elizabeth Beach, dolphins surfing at Number 1 beach in Seal Rocks and enjoyed Kayaking in Smiths Lake thanks to Pacific Palms SUP. It's an easy 20-30 minute drive up to Forster where you can spend a day at One Mile Beach, stop by Plunge Cafe and get fresh Oysters to have on the jetty back at the Navigator House. Kembali Cafe in Blueys beach is an Indo fusion cafe and a great place for breakfast and lunch!

This was a great return on your investment for a hike. You park in the North Elizabeth Beach Parking lot (off of Lethbridge Road) and hike up into the Booti National Park. You can either do the loop back once you get to 7 mile beach or return on your same path (which is what I did). If you're in the area from May-July or Sept-November, make sure you keep your eyes open for migrating whales. The track gives you an amazing vantage point.

The host recommended ordering a food platter from Sea & Salt Grazing Co. to eat around the fire in the barn and it was an amazing experience. The quality and selection of the products was excellent and it was a great on property activity.

Make sure you explore Shelly Beach and the surrounding beaches (Elizabeth, Blueys and Boomerang). You can access Shelly Beach Trail from the south end of Elizabeth Beach, one of the mid coasts hidden gems. Keep your eyes peeled when walking to Shelly Beach as there's a tonne of wildlife close to the trail.

Another beautiful set of beaches is located about 20 minutes south. Seal Rocks is home to Number 1 beach and Boat beach. Amazing stretches of empty sand with vast cliffs that run directly into the water. These have to be some of the best beaches in NSW if not Australia. I even got to witness some local surfers,

Another great half-day activity was paddle boarding in Myall Lake at Neranie Campground.

On the last night we picked up some oysters and had an awesome little bbq on the property. The host left some carrots in the room for Teddy and Taco, the two local donkeys that live on the property.
