Riverbank Escape
Adventure in Lorne, Great Ocean Road, VIC, AU
After the nightmare that has been 2020, we decided to treat ourselves to a much-needed escape from the city with friends. A change of scenery was exactly what we needed, and Lorne was the perfect place to do that. After just minutes of arriving at our Riverbank Cottage, we felt instantly relaxed. Listening to the wind rustle through the trees and the birds singing their songs, we were transported to a state of tranquillity.
We decided to sit out on the grass, soak up some much-needed sunlight and have a drink. Sitting in the company of friends whilst watching the birds was the absolute highlight for us. It was a great reminder of how important it is to spend some quality time with friends. We spent the evening cooking dinner and lounging in front of the fireplace.
Our next few days were more active. Exploring the delights that Lorne had to offer. From Teddy's lookout to long drives winding around the curves of the coast. We stopped in for a burger at Bottle of Milk and then headed off to chase waterfalls. Erskine Falls is an absolute must....
