Wild Wild Nest
Adventure in Wingello, Country NSW, NSW, AU
What’s magic about adventure is the unknown; whether that’s discovering new places, testing your mental and physical capabilities or simply battling against unpredictable weather. In our case, with rain forecasted, we anticipated some extra wet adventures but were open to plans changing and braving the storm.
We’re headed to a tiny home located 2-hours South West of Sydney. This time though, we’re not overpacking, we’re stripping things back and adopting a more minimalist approach - doing more with less.
The clouds had parted by the time we’d arrived in Tallong and it was quick to settle in. When we stepped out onto the deck, there was a shared feeling of calmness. We snooped around the property taking in all the fresh smells of nature and gathering some kindling along the way. I worked the fire in the outdoor pit while Lucia sorted out snacks, drinks and music - we couldn’t help but make the most of a sunny afternoon with nothing but tall gum trees and kangaroos insight. A strong nature vibe was set and before we knew it, night fell. We retreated into the home, immediately kicking off our shoes and boiling the kettle, getting cosy for the evening.
It’s not just any old tiny home, Wildernest T1 is architecturally designed and sustainably built and to be completely honest, it doesn’t feel tiny! Being our first experience in a tiny home, we feared it may feel claustrophobic but boy were we wrong! With large windows, quality linen, a full kitchen, large deck and conscious storage, we were impressed by how comfortable it was to live in this space. We could have spent days here, reading and relaxing if it were for our eagerness to explore. Backing onto Wingello Forest, the area practically begged us to venture out....
