Beachside in Byron

We just relocated up North from Melbourne and decided to sneak in a little Byron getaway to get familiar with the area around our new home.

After a short drive, we made it to the busy town of Byron Bay, which needs no introduction.
After grabbing some food and checking out the surf, it was time to check-in into our accommodation for the weekend, Cruisin in Byron.

Away from the busy town centre, this one-bedroom studio lies in a quiet and peaceful area on the Arakwal National Park edge, which has quick access to the beautiful Tallow beach.

If your travelling with your dog, please be mindful of this property's vicinity to the National park and the wildlife that lives here. At night, keep an eye out for all kinds of different animals, lizards, owls, frogs, and bunnies.

In the morning, head out to Tallow beach for a sunrise walk and then fuel up with a delicious breakfast at Folk Byron Bay, only a few mins drive away from this spot. Both dog friendly!

Have a stroll around town for some shopping or surf, and do not miss the beautiful views from Cape Byon Lighthouse at sunset. Dogs are not allowed in this area, so your pet will need to stay at the accommodation but don't worry that there are plenty of places where they can have fun.

Belongil Beach is one of them. A long stretch of sandy beach not too far from the town centre.

To access Tallow Beach you can either follow the little path down from the accommodation (dogs are not allowed here) or you can drive to Suffolk Park's bike track and start your walk to the beach from here with your dog. It only takes 10 mins to reach the beach and it's a very peaceful walk, perfect if you love birdwatching.
