Adventure in the Grampians
Adventure in Halls Gap, Grampians, VIC, AU
Nestled in the back streets of Halls Gap, Heavenly Retreat is a humble abode where you can base yourself on a perfect time away. Whether you're aiming for a relaxed and peaceful weekend in the spa bath or gearing up for as many hikes and walks that the daylight allows, this place is perfect for either choice.
Our first day in Halls Gap saw us strolling through the town and admiring the incredible natural backdrop of the Grampians. It's amazing how small you feel whilst looking up at the distant peaks. In the evening, we visited Reed's lookout and the Balconies to watch the sunset- this is a must! With endless 360 views, this is the ultimate spot to stop and take in the sunset and natural surrounds.
Other places we visited were; the Venus Rockpools, where you can sit and bathe in the natural pools and cool off in summer. The pools are a short walk from the Botanical Gardens (also incredible). Finally, with a backpack loaded, the Pinnacle hiked up to the Pinnacle Lookout, a must when visiting the Grampians. We rewarded ourselves with lunch at the top, a nice warm cup of noodles, surrounded by the best views possible - and no crowds or queues for the best seats in the house!
To be able to come back to Heavenly Retreat after a long day of walking and exploring and relax in the luxury spa bath was incredible, followed by sitting near the fire as nightfall came and the temperature dropped. A place where you can really unwind and relax, Heavenly Retreat was a spot that had everything you could need for a weekend in Halls Gap....
