Cosy Cottage
Adventure in Johanna, Great Ocean Road, VIC, AU
Cute & Cosy Cottage at Johanna Farm was the perfect way to reset the soul and get in touch with nature.
The cottage is nestled on the hills above Johanna Beach and the foot of The Otway Ranges in a private little cottage.
On our first night, we settled in and lit a fire, opened a bottle of wine and took in the starry views on the balcony catching the occasional shooting star. We woke up to a gorgeous sunrise over the valley and headed to Johanna Beach for a morning stroll. After working up a hunger, we headed back to the farm to pick herbs from the garden and fresh laid eggs from the chook house for a cook up. We spent the rest of our time hanging out with the animals and exploring the 280 acres of farmland and trails, making sure to end the day curled up in front of the fireplace.
The farm is the perfect base along The Great Ocean Road to visit the 12 Apostles or immerse yourself in the forests of The Great Otway National Park. Johanna Farm is a must stay destination for anyone looking to escape the city and truly relax.

We arranged a tour of the farm and got to meet the vast array of adorable animals that call it home. Make sure to pick some fresh herbs and veggies from the veggie garden and wake up to a few fresh eggs from the chook house.
Explore the many beautiful walking trails on the property. The perfect opportunity for those wanting to explore in nature, but also stay close to the farm and get the most out of their accommodation and relax.
The Hopetoun falls are located in The Great Otway National Park and only 20 minutes drive from our accommodation. One may hesitate to venture out during winter, but the lack of crowds and heavy rainfall made for a stunning and private spectacle.
Johanna Beach is only a 5 minute drive from the farm and sits halfway between Apollo Bay and the 12 Apostles. We headed down to this peaceful, quiet and picturesque beach to enjoy a walk at sunrise. The perfect start to our morning.
We have always wanted to visit Californian Redwoods in Victoria and as the Farm was located only 20 minutes away, we headed straight there after our check out. The Forest is truly enchanting.
