A Hamptons style beach house with enough space to entertain friends and family on the shores of Catherine Hill Bay, the Chalet became our perfect base for exploring the northern Central Coast. Private spaces to retreat from the group give the rooms a feeling of privacy, while the large open kitchen and outdoor patio are great for long lunches and summer days by the pool.

Our mornings often began with a short stroll around the block to the local cafe and onward to the beach, back in time for an outdoor bbq and afternoons playing games in the backyard. Our nights were rainy, so we stocked up on wine and cheese for cosy movie nights in the luxurious lounge room, before retreating to our own private spaces for the evening.

Perched above the seaside in a quiet coastal neighbourhood, the Chalet at Catherine Hill Bay is the ideal spot for an adventurous group getaway, with the wild beaches and ocean caves of Munmorah State Conservation Area just a few minutes down the road. Some of us would venture out for sunrise over the ocean, while others enjoyed a more relaxing start and late coffee on the back deck - whatever your preference, the Chalet is sure to hit the spot.
