Majestic Mountains and Nature’s Expanse
Adventure in Raglan, Goldfields, VIC, AU
Fern-lined forests, mountains and golden fields greeted us as we arrived at the beautiful Raglan Retreat. It wasn’t long before nature’s fauna joined in the welcome - ponies, eagles, foxes, shaggy cows, rabbits, sheep, and kookaburras all made us feel both at home, and in awe. The peace and power of connecting to nature, stayed with us, as panoramic views encircled us from every window of the property.
After settling in, we headed out to explore the local cafes and townships, before returning to enjoy a picnic and glass of wine by the firepit. Rising early the next morning to birdsong, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at golden hour and walked around the property before hiking nearby Mount Cole. Sunlight shone through the towering gum trees onto the ferns below as butterflies put on a display of beauty, it was magic!
Wine tasting at a nearby winery finished our stay with perfection. We were continually amazed by the friendliness of the locals and of our wonderful hosts, who left no stone unturned.
Raglan Retreat was everything we needed to recharge, reset, connect with the countryside, and let the expanse of nature flood us with peaceful inspiration! We’d book again in a heartbeat....

We stopped here on our way home for free wine tasting, and to stock up on some fantastic wines. Tattooed Lady 'Petit Verdot' is a dream! We were lucky enough to have Michael take us on a tour of the winery, which has a focus on sustainable materials and no chemical pest control. This place is the real deal for authentic wine from experts in the field. The staff (including Poppy the Puppy) are all incredibly welcoming and friendly!...
