If you've been to Auckland, you'll have heard of Waiheke Island. A paradise that sits across the water, just waiting for people to come and explore. Great wine, great food, great views and a great history.

Black Bach on Burrell is a little beach house overlooking the water. It is pure magic. From the old fashioned, white-framed windows you could see ocean views & little bits of green bush popping over the horizon. The decor was very stylish with beach vibes throughout. At only moments walk away you would reach wonderful white sand beaches, delicious cafes and ice cream shops. A further 20-minute walk, there's a bunch of restaurants with the best vibe in Oneroa. You can also take your pick from one of the many incredible wineries on the island!

We spent our days exploring beaches, drinking wine and relaxing at the Bach. They had everything we could need for a fantastic stay. It rained quite a lot on the second day, but that just added to the dreaminess of The Bach. What's better than snuggling up on the sofa with Netflix and a blanket, listening to the rain and watching the colours of the ocean change?

Overall we would hugely recommend this place to anyone visiting Waiheke. But make sure you plan ahead as you'll be swamped with things you want to do, whilst also enjoying your relaxation time at The Bach.
