Tama Lakes

Tongariro National Park is which is a must-see if you're in the area. There are incredible waterfalls and day hikes for you to explore these landscapes. We joined some friends and hiked to Tama Lakes for sunset, a 17km hike which takes around 5-6hours to return. A reasonably easy hike but be prepared for mountain conditions
