Bald Rock Hike
Hike in Carrolls Creek, NSW
Hiking Bald Rock is an unforgettable experience. Located in Bald Rock National Park, it’s Australia’s largest exposed granite rock, standing 260 m high and stretching over 750 m long. The trail winds through woodland before opening onto the massive granite dome. From there, the final ascent takes you up sweeping rock faces with panoramic views that stretch across the New England Tablelands and into Queensland. It’s a moderately challenging climb, but the sense of scale and the views from the summit make it more than worth the effort.
