Chasing Hidden Gems at Loddon Falls

Tucked away in Glenlyon, Loddon Falls feels like one of those places you stumble upon and instantly want to keep as your little secret. The walk in is peaceful, with the sound of water getting louder until suddenly the view opens up to this dramatic wall of basalt columns and the falls crashing down into the swimming hole below.

We found the perfect spot to sit on the rocks, dangle our feet, and just take in the gorge stretching out ahead of us. Our dogs loved exploring the trail (and sniffing every single tree along the way 🐾), while we soaked up the kind of view that makes the whole walk worth it.

Loddon Falls isn’t polished or crowded — it’s raw, rugged, and absolutely stunning. A reminder that sometimes the best adventures are the ones a little off the beaten track. 🌿💦
