Surrounded by tree ferns and towering mountain ash, the cottage is nestled in Doongalla State Forest, surrounded by nature and wildlife.

Just minutes walking distance to both Olinda and Mt Dandenong villages, where you find cafes, eateries and artisan boutiques, you are close to everything yet away from it all.

The cottage is stand-alone, private, and completely self-contained, with everything you need to stay for a few days, a week, or a month.

Walk into the forest from your doorstep and enjoy many bushwalks through the state forest. We provide maps for you during your stay and are happy to share our fave local walks with you ⛰️🌳

Your stay includes a generous breakfast hamper of goodies, including local fresh produce, and we check in with you before your stay regarding dietary requirements.

COTTAGE DETAILS
Enter your private cottage with enchanting story book style exterior and modern, elegant interior. The living area has a large sofa to sink into by the cosy log fire, where you can curl up to watch a movie, listen to music, read a book or just to BE.

Adjoining is the cosy country kitchen which is fully equipped, everything you need including a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer so you can stay for a few days, a week or a month.

Upstairs the romantic bedroom has a queen size bed, electric blanket, beautiful bamboo and cotton sheets and beautiful forest balcony from which you can enjoy tree top views with glimpses of Melbourne city, glorious sunsets and star gaze at night through the telescope. The adjoining bathroom has a large spa bath, fluffy robes and towels.

Hello! I love to retreat and have quiet time in nature. I believe it is important it is to be surrounded by beautiful things and keep this in mind whilst creating a space for my guests. I have a Scandinavian background so you might see elements of that in the cottage. I am a free spirit yet I love having my feet on the ground and need nature around me. Hence the reason I have chosen to live in The Dandenong Ranges surrounded by the forest and tree ferns where we have our beautiful cottage, it is just the perfect place to retreat, relax and recharge. Living in Australia is incredible as there is so much here to see and do, I love adventure and to experience new places, especially riding my motorcycle and getting away as often as possible, searching for places to stay that are unique and magic. Wild Orchid Olinda is a little bit of magic in the mountains I hope to host a stay for you soon :-)
