Jacky Winter Gardens is a private guesthouse and creative retreat set amidst a half-acre of stunning gardens and natural bushland in Belgrave, Victoria. Whether you want a weekend away from the city, a longer holiday in the hills, or a sanctum where you can work and create undisturbed, we provide a home away from home that is both tranquil and invigorating.

Backing directly onto Clematis Creek, we’ve feathered our nest with work from some of The Jacky Winter Group’s world-renowned stable of artists. From custom-made glasswork and wallpaper, to games and framed prints, you’ll become acquainted with new artists, or perhaps be reunited with some you already know.

Located just 45-minutes from Melbourne by car, and situated within walking distance to the town centre with its wonderful Cameo Cinemas, Jacky Winter Gardens straddles the two worlds of nature and civilisation, achieving a perfect holiday balance for solo travellers, couples and small groups....

CABIN DETAILS
Jacky Winter Gardens brings together the calming waters of Clematis Creek, the rich soil of the gardens, the pure air of the Dandenong Ranges and every modern convenience to give you a wholly relaxing holiday experience.

Our mission at Jacky Winter Gardens is to offer private and secluded luxury accommodation for visitors to the hills, including singles, couples, and small families, as well as showcase the work of our artists. Through our monthly artist-in-residence program, we also support other commercial artists working in any discipline in the creation of new work.

Additional Guests
Jacky Winter Gardens is the perfect retreat for solo travellers or couples, but we are able to accommodate up to five guests: two in the master bedroom, two in the living room on the double-bed fold-out sofa, and one smaller person in the detached studio on a single sofa bed.

Each additional guest required will incur a tariff of 25.00 per night.

Due to site limitations, there is no wheelchair access at this time.

GARDENS
Jacky Winter Gardens simply wouldn’t exist were it not for the gardens. Comprising more than 80 different types of plants, including a citrus and stone fruit orchard, the gardens are what drew us to the property in the first place and we hope you’ll spend some time exploring them during your stay. At various times during the year you’ll be able to pick wild strawberries, raspberries, apples, peaches, ruby red grapefruit, lemons, oranges, and figs, as well as other produce from our fledgling kitchen garden.

PETS & CHILDREN
We are now happy to welcome housetrained dogs at Jacky Winter Gardens! If you wish you bring your dog with you, please contact us in advance by email. We may not be able to accommodate all requests.

While the property has been designed with adults in mind, we are happy to accommodate children under three years old for no charge.

DAMAGE & LIABILITIES
The Jacky Winter family has put a great deal of love and care into the home, and we look forward to sharing it with you in its most pristine condition for many years to come. We know that when you set foot inside it you will treat it as your own, and so to that end we have not instituted any sort of bond or security deposit as of yet.

Accidents do happen though, so please let us know immediately if something has broken, is not working, has been stained or marked, or not in the condition you expected. Otherwise we do ask you to take special care to leave the property as you found it.

That said we do reserve the right to demand payment for any unusual damage, losses, or incidents requiring specialised cleaning. Again, we don’t expect this will happen but we just need to cover all our bases.

SMOKING
There is absolutely no smoking inside the property, both in the main house and the studio.

If you must smoke while you’re on the grounds, please take care to always fully extinguish and dispose properly of your cigarettes in the provided ashtrays....
