Nowoori-Beapy is located on a "Land for Wildlife" property beside the Yarra River, just out of Woori Yallock (hence the name!).

This accommodation is in an older style 6 birth caravan recently refurbished for two, so there's plenty of room.

On-site activities can include swimming, fishing and bush walks.
Nearby activities include vineyards, bike riding, vineyards, bushwalking, vineyards, Healesville Sanctuary... Oh, and did I mention vineyards??
We even have our own tiny vineyard on site (tastings/sales can be arranged by appointment).

In the warmer months, guests can swim and/or fish in the Yarra River which flows past our property, just a short walk from the caravan.

During the colder months, our guests have appreciated the electric heater, flannelette sheets and the outside campfire (there's plenty of wood).

We are just 40 minutes from the summit of Mt Donna Buang for snow play, just one hour from Lake Mountain Alpine Resort for cross country skiing and 2 hours from Mt Baw Baw for cross country and downhill skiing. So, Nowoori-Beapy is an ideal inexpensive base for a snow focused holiday.

An excellent spot to slow down and be in nature. The river frontage was exactly what we were looking for .. peace and quiet, great spot for a swim or fish and a fire pit to cook some lunch on. Peter a...nd Janet were wonderful hosts! Having the open fire going for us by the well equipt, cute and warm caravan, when we got back late from our hike was very nice on a cold night ☺️ Thanks also so much for sharing your delicious wine that you make. You have really created a great easy little spot for couples to have a nice break and be surrounded by nature ☺️ Kate and Mark

This place was absolutely magic and we are already dreaming of when we will make it back. Peter and Janet made the home so cozy, the heater was on when we arrived and the outdoor fire was roaring. We ...felt so warm and welcomed by them. We have been recommending a stay here to everyone we know since. Thank you so much for having us and for being such thoughtful and gracious hosts.

Recently retired teacher by day and environmentalist by night, I try to walk the talk. My wife and I have a "Land for Wildlife" property by the Yarra River where we enjoy walks, picnics, gardening, fishing and winemaking... Oh it's a tough gig and it looks like getting even tougher now that I have given up my day job. We enjoy sharing our lovely part of the world with others, so we have done up our old caravan and joined the Riparide mob.

Sheep And Vines

Our sheep love to be feed and enjoy a pat.
We grow grapes and make our own wine called 'the Thirsty Wombat', so wine tasting/sales are available by appointment.

Land For Wildlife Walk To The Yarra

Wombats, Wallaby, Echidna and Samba Deer can all be encountered during the "long walk' through our "Land for Wildlife" property to the Yarra River. Over 30 species of birds call Nowoori-Beappy their home.

A Deep Hole In The Yarra

A "Short Walk" (as opposed to the alternative "long walk") will take you to a lovely deep swimming and fishing hole on the Yarra River. Yellowbelly, Trout, Blackfish and Eel are regulars, but you may be just as happy to sit by the fire and enjoy a picnic.

Outdoor Equipment Provided

Enjoy the outdoors with the following equipment included in your stay.

Fishing Rod (2)
There is nice walk to the Yarra River via our Land for Wildlife Property and a nice deep fishing/swimming hole.
In winter we can provide a toboggan (we are just 1 hour from the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort)
