Additional Information
You park your vehicle in safe, free off-road parking.
You then walk down steps carved into a 4 metre embankment (with a sturdy hand-rail) and follow a pathway through the trees for approximately 10 metres ... and then you see it, an authentic Mongolian felt yurt, nestled in a secluded forest glade, surrounded by trees and bushland.
A few more metres away, a mountain spring burbles from the ground. Kookaburras, cockatoos and parrots call from the tree tops. Under a shady blackwood tree sits a wood picnic table hand-hewed by local artisans. Nestled into the space is a rock pool, fed by the natural spring & heated to your preferred temperature using wood-fired rocket stoves.
You step up onto the deck and duck your head to carefully step in through the ornate, traditional low door of the yurt. Inside, the distinctive subtle scent of the felt tells you that this is the real deal.
You see the double bed, nestled under a mosquito net canopy, made up with fresh organic cotton bed linen. The second bed provides cosy day time seating and folds out to second double bed at night. (2 people in the double bed & 1 person on the single day bed is ideal capacity - 4 people is a bit squishy).

this is truly the most special space i’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time. the yurt and land surrounding is nothing short of magic. julie and greg are both incredibly available, attentive, thou...ghtful while also striking a beautiful balance to let us escape and retreat. the birds around the area are also incredible. everything is so thoughtfully curated as if they knew exactly what we would want and where we would find ourselves wanting it. it’s already my dream to return.

Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.
The Yarra River
The Yarra River meanders through the village just a short stroll from thehamptons. Here you can enjoy a swim, a kayak, or a spot of fishing. Stop at one of the many picnic and bbq areas along the river banks and you may even spot some platypus.
Swimming In The Yarra Valley
The weather was warm and muggy, after we'd picked our fresh produce for dinner we decided to head to the river for a dip to cool down, located behind the shopping strip in the central part of town.
Warburton River Walk
The easy 5.3-km loop trail walk in Warburton runs along the river with ferns, redwoods, ducks and bridges - an incredible nature walk in the middle of town.
Warby Rivers
Warburton is blessed with waterways. From the mighty Yarra River that runs through town to several nearby streams, creeks and waterfalls you'll be sure to find a peaceful spot to relax and watch the day go by.
Yarra River Walk
After breakfast we stretched our legs with an incredible little walk from Mr Oak, down to the water along some of the freshest sections of the Yarra River. From bridge to bridge at either end of Warburton is a 2.5km path that passes right by the centre of town should you need any supplies.

The Warburton Bakery
On the main strip in Warburton, with an outdoor takeaway setting, this bakery is a must-visit for a pastry craving!
