Enjoy the serenity at our cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage, nestled on the banks of the tranquil King Parrot Creek.

With a crackling fire, comfortable couch, and a stylish kitchen overlooking the creek, our cottage is a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. Sit on the deck or the porch and watch the birds, maybe even spot a kangaroo or wombat as they roam the picturesque landscape.

Enjoy drinks and nibbles by the creek or gather around the fire pit (fire restrictions permitting) for some marshmallow toasting and stargazing. This is the perfect get away, being only an hour and a bit from the city. You can be relaxing by the fire in winter, or sitting by the river in the warmer months before you know it!

King Parrot Creek

Splash In The River

The river is only shallow, so humans and pup alike can enjoy splashing about - a fantastic place to take dogs of all swimming abilities.

Bike Riding Horse Riding

Located only 10 minutes drive from Strath Valley View the Great Victorian Rail Trail is Victoria’s longest rail trail spanning 134km from Tallarook through Yea to Mansfield, with a link between Cathkin and Alexandra. The trail can be explored by pushbike, on foot or on horseback.

Strath Creek Falls

This waterfall is located in Mount Disappointment State Forest. Follow the walk, which leads you to a beautiful view of the falls cascading 50 metres to the gully below. The perfect time to visit is after heavy rains.

Kinglake National Park

Most of Kinglake National Park is covered in eucalypt forest. If you look closely you will see many of the trees showing a green new growth along their trunks following the fire. Grass trees now have tall flowering spikes and tree ferns are bright with new growth. Slowly other species will regerminate including wattles, bush peas, heath, tussock grass and orchids.
