The property was secluded, allowing for a true isolation and escape from reality and the rest of the world. The town is around 25 minutes away, but the scenic drive makes it worth it. Only suggestion would be to maintain the grass and spiky thistles a bit more. Great weekend

I loved everything about The Falls at Lake Werona. It was scenic, peaceful, and perfect for my family. We enjoyed boardgames and reading by the open fires, we cooked up a storm in the well equipped ki...tchen and went exploring amongst nature to the waterfall and beautiful lake while the local cows looked on. The deck spa and the outside table for breakfast had the most breathtaking views, you could sit there forever.

Chasing Waterfalls At The Falls
This little waterfall was honestly a bit of a surprise. Looking at the property, you think to yourself, how can there be a waterfall nearby? The instructions left by the host say its only a 5 minute walk away - and they're right!
If you walk down the porch, and turn right (you need to go through a couple of gates), you'll find yourself at a little cliff face that almost comes out of nowhere to the hidden waterfall.
While there wasn't a massive amount of flow when we went (apparently late spring is the best time to see the waterfall), it was definitely worth the little trek to see.
You need to be careful getting close to the edge though as there is a decent drop, but you can enjoy the view safely a few meters back.

Swiss Mountain Hotel Pub Feed
Located only a few minutes down the road, Swiss Mountain Hotel is on of those more elegant classic country pubs that you walk out of thinking, damn that was really good. With a great selection of local beers on tap - you can't go wrong. We couldn't look past grabbing a parma, and boy that didn't disappoint! I was surprised to see the variety of different meals they had to offer, which all sounded amazing.
Take It All In At The Blowhole
When I saw 'blowhole' I innocently expected massive amounts of water gushing out of the ground at random moments. So I'm here to tell you that that is NOT the only type of blowhole apparently. This one was artificially built by gold miners in the early 1870s to divert the water away from the original creek line. Accessed via a short scenic walk from the carpark, it was such a relaxing spot to sit and unwind from the day's activities.
Trail Ride
An hour long trail ride through the bush leaving from our property suitable for beginners or experienced riders.
