SPLIT SYSTEM - PLEASE NOTE ………………………….
The cabin is fully off grid and powered by solar energy. We have recently installed a split system for your comfort however there are some restrictions.
Air conditioner use is limited to protect the battery system.
We recommend using it during the hottest part of the day during the afternoon . Mornings and evenings rely on the fans, block out blinds and the beautiful cross breeze from the stack windows for ongoing comfort. This ensures there is enough power for lighting , fridge and other essentials during your stay.
With limited sun and shorter days through Autumn and Winter to protect our battery system we ask you only use the heating for a few hours at a time - such as arriving at night and not wanting to bother to light the fire .
For all other times the fire is to be used as the main source of heating.
Thanks so much ☺️
