Get back to life’s simple pleasures in this rustic off-grid log cabin in the forest. Completely analogue, there’s no TV, no Wi-Fi – just you, a record player, a wood heater and a cast-iron bath. The cabin was originally an artist's pottery studio. You can see its history everywhere – from the pottery in the kitchen and the beautiful polished concrete worktable, to the clay on the railway sleeper walls. This a grounding space to retreat, read, nourish your creativity and reconnect with nature.
The cabin is set on our 4-acre property, and although is it quite close to our house, it is tucked away so we can’t see it and feels very private. Although you might see us in the garden on weekends, unless you need a hand with anything we will leave you in peace to enjoy the cabin.
Firewood is provided.
Please note, elements of the cabin are not child friendly. Please check with us before booking with a child.

Where time slowed down.
This was the absolute perfect getaway to reset, go off grid, dance amongst the gorgeous nature surrounded by peace, and play board games. Lovely scenery to drive from town to ...town, walk amongst the redwood Forrest, stroll through the local shops and eat amazing food. We can’t thank you enough. We love to turn around and come back!

We loved our cosy stay at Samantha’s Mountain Retreat. It was the perfect getaway to unwind and get a break from city life and we enjoyed all the amenities and how easy it was to get to Healesville’s ...town centre. Thank you so much for having us and for all your local recommendations including the nearby Forest walk that had a very sweet view. :)
