We had a wonderful time at Onyx with our children and grandchildren. We loved the spa and sauna. The fire pit was a great place to gather around. For the money it would be good to have an earlier ...check in or later check out. We paid an extra half a day for this. We would suggest that the house is in need of some maintenance. Drawers in kitchen were difficult to close, sliding doors in bedrooms had to be lifted to close, only one dishwasher tablet provided and two tea-towels. Aside from that it was a great place for a large family group.

ONYX Retreat is a charming stay that you never want to leave.

It is clean, spacious, and has a lot of amenities on offer.
We went at the start of winter when the days were quite cold, and ONYX has ...many ways to keep you warm. There is heating throughout the property, including a fireplace in the main living space. Outside you have outdoor heating, a hot tub, sauna and a fire pit – so you are not short on options! It is honestly the perfect stay in the colder months.

The property is quite large which was perfect for our dog Mr Pickles who had plenty of space to explore.

ONYX is also conveniently located only around 10 minutes from the main strip of Healesville, so you’re never too far away from stocking up on supplies or heading out on a day trip to explore the abundance of options around.

We absolutely loved our stay at ONYX and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to get a breath of fresh air away from the city, while still being close enough to civilization.

Situated in the Main Street of Healesville, Giant Steps winery has some of the most amazing food and wine in the region. The customer service was exemplary, decor spectacular, and the menu has everything you need to delight your tastebuds and fill your belly.

Maroondah Dam

A wholesome little nature park experience, with the gardens as beautiful as the dam view from the top of the wall, there are some short walks and large gardens to explore, closing at 6pm it's a great time of year to catch the nice light as the sun is setting a little earlier. However any time of day you visit, you're sure to enjoy the view and easy cruise around the gardens.
