Escape to Warby Serenity in Warburton, where nature meets tranquility. Enjoy breathtaking garden, mountain, and national park views. Inside, a cozy retreat awaits, with yoga equipment, games, and a wood fireplace.

Inside the house, you’ll find a cozy space complete with yoga equipment, books, games, and a sunroom perfect for reading or meditating. A wood fireplace (BYO Firewood) adds warmth and comfort on cooler evenings, while the fully-equipped kitchen and BBQ offer everything you need for home-cooked meals.

Take your retreat to the outside. Step onto the small deck and immerse yourself in nature with panoramic views of the garden (not fully fenced and on a slope), mountains, and national park. Enjoy meals or drinks at the breakfast counter while soaking in the beauty around you. For your ideal country experience, make your way to the outdoor fireplace area and relax in the sun or under the night sky.

At the far end of the garden, approximately 50 meters from the house, we’ve added two outdoor bathtubs. These tubs offer a secluded, serene spot to unwind while surrounded by nature. Keep in mind, the outdoor experience means embracing the elements—we strive to keep the area tidy, but leaves and nature’s touch may be present. We have a separate 450l hot water tank for the bath tubs, but note that bath fills & refills are limited (especially in winter months). We kindly ask that only natural products are used to preserve the environment.

Our property offers the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. While it feels remote, you’re just a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from the Warburton main street, with local pubs, cafes, and shops nearby. Warburton is also the perfect base for exploring the Yarra Valley, with its scenic trails, wineries, and charming villages.

What an amazing stay we had at Warby Serenity!

Firstly, Warburton was the perfect location for a quiet book besties weekend. There were plenty of cute little shops to peruse (shout out to Charley Hor...se Vintage and The Bower Room in particular).
The stunning Forest surrounds were breathtaking and there were heaps of beautiful walking tracks around.

When we arrived at Warby, we were wowed by the incredibly private outdoor area and stunning mountain views.
The inside of the property was beautifully decorated, yet cosy and comfortable, so we immediately felt at home.
My favourite spot was the little nook near the back door, where I loved curling up with my book while taking in the gorgeous views.
One of my favourite moments was spending late Saturday afternoon reading in the outdoor baths.

Warby Serenity was a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back for another reading retreat!

My friend and I had a lovely weekend staying at Warby Serenity. The cottage was lovely, clean, comfy beds and lots of little extras provided. However, there are a few things that potential guests shou...ld be aware of when looking to book. These include (1) having to bring your own firewood - I was surprised given the rental $ and made it very difficult for us to buy/lift into the car boot/carry down to the cottage. (2) don't park on the street - there is adequate parking down the driveway to the left just before the cottage - the walk up to the car parked in the street is a killer ! (3) the number of steps required for people with limited mobility is significant - firstly steps down to the cottage but also going down the back steps to the outdoors area. (4) while the 2 baths outside look amazing and very inviting in the pictures, it would take some prep and organising to actually get them ready to have a bath. Removal and replacement of covers, cleaning etc. and finally (5) given the several messages about leaving the cottage clean and removing rubbish etc we thought was a bit over the top due to the significant cleaning fee we paid in the rental fees. Anyway, the surrounding area has lots to offer incl. the red gum forest, Alpine Hotel and the river running through Warburton is beautiful. Thank you

Bike Riding

The O’Shannassy Trail is a 30 kilometre walking and bike-riding trail from East Warburton to Don Valley in the Upper Yarra Valley. The trail runs in alongside the Warburton Rail Trail, however, the O’Shannassy Trail is set into the mountain ranges, and provides a different viewpoint to the landscape. Surrounded by tall trees, and lush ferns, the trail follows the historic open channelled O’Shannassy Aqueduct, and allows for impressive views of the Yarra Valley.

The weather was warm and muggy, after we'd picked our fresh produce for dinner we decided to head to the river for a dip to cool down, located behind the shopping strip in the central part of town.

La La Falls Walk

Follow the track through tall Mountain Ash forest and lush ferny glades, to the picturesque La La Falls. The track has a moderate grade, which can be slightly challenging; allow 1.5 hours for a return trip. For a particularly impressive view, visit after heavy rainfall when the falls are at their most powerful.
