Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot that feels like the middle of nowhere but is only 5 minutes from Healesville.

Surrounded by nature, our off-grid tiny house allows you to experience sustainable living while also enjoying pure luxury. The house has a full kitchen, indoor fireplace, big screen TV, instant hot water, flushing toilet, a bath on the wrap-around deck and a huge outdoor entertaining area.

The property looks out to the ranges and is also home to an array of wildlife.

We lived in the tiny house full time for two years. We love living off-grid and wanted to give the opportunity to others who might be thinking about transitioning to a more sustainable lifestyle. The tiny house runs on a solar battery setup, we have a 39,000L tank which collects water from the roof and runs instant gas hot water and cooktop.

The property on Wurundjeri country is a one acre block with native Australian bush growing on all sides. Help yourself to anything growing in the vege garden, make use of the large undercover area fit with gas heater and relax in the double size bath with a view on the deck.

We share this space with a huge range of wildlife including black + white cockatoos, king parrots, wedge tailed eagles, swamp wallabies, echidnas, wombats and eastern grey kangaroos. They are use to humans being around, but please be mindful to give them room if you do see them and don't feed them.

Additional Information

The house is off-grid so doesn't have wifi, but the TV does connect to your phone's hotspot if you'd like to stream shows.

In the winter we don't keep the remote for the split system in the house because the electric heater will drain the batteries within half an hour. There is plenty of wood for you to use for the fire and it will heat the house up really quickly.

There is also a round knob on the fireplace which lets air into the fireplace. Once you've got the fire going, turn it to the left to close it maybe half or 3/4 of the way closed. If you leave it all the way open, you'll go through the wood very quickly.

For the dishwasher, press the 'on' button on the right hand side of the inside of the drawer and wait for a beep. You'll hear the water move through the dishwasher when you close it. If you don't, try the button on the outside of the drawer.

Please make sure the dishwasher starts going before you leave, otherwise it takes ages for our cleaner to wash and dry the dishes by hand.

This was a lovely little place in a beautiful location. Even in the most and fog it was relaxing to take a bath and sit in front of the fire. Healesville is just down the road and is a very lovely and relaxing town.

Gorgeous spot with great views! The tiny house is just like what you see in the pictures - very cosy in the bedroom/bathroom, but still feels spacious around the living area. Great for enjoying a fire, curling up in front of the TV and watching the trees & the hills.

The breaky burgers and the avo toast here were the bits to go for.
A cool little space offering some great plants and cute trinkets as well as great food and coffee to fuel up before your next adventure - not to mention probably the cheapest and best avo-toast I've had in years?!

Cheese Extravaganza

We delighted in a visit to Cheesemonger Sophie's, a haven for cheese enthusiasts. The shop was a treasure trove of artisanal cheeses, offering a tantalizing array of flavors and textures. On top of that, they have great baguettes and sandwiches!

Coffee A Bite At The Cherry Tree Cafe

The Cherry Tree cafe is a great little dog friendly spot along the main strip of Healesville. We loved their BLT and Mr Pickles loved their puppachino!
