It was a great little cottage, the bathrooms need to be fixed up most definitely so water doesn't leak everywhere on the floor, could do either bedding upgrade its
Abit 70s, next time id bring bedding,

Okay honest review. If your after basic and good location with a nice view then this is it. However a lot of basic amenities are NOT included.
No shampoo, no hair dryer. No milk. Body wash for 1 bath...room not two. No gas in gas bottle. No tissues. No hand towels no face cloths. No spare pillows. No spare towels. The tea towels were ornamental didn’t soak up anything. Just basic.
I’ve stayed in so many places and in warburton before. The location is good and I loved listening to the rainforest and we had heaps of fire wood. But yeah it’s not somewhere you go to not being anything with you.
Also the fridge leaked the whole time we were there. If more amenities were included I’d come back to stay but otherwise I’d chose a different house.

Neat and tidy stay, easy to communicate with the owners, would recommend. Great location.

Bike Riding
Our favourite rides are the Warburton - Lilydale railtrail for families. The Aqueduct trail is 500m from the house and it's great for gravel and mountain bikers. Road bikers love the Donna Buang climb, Reefton Spur, and Acheron Way. The back side of Donna Buang is a classic 65km loop.
La La Falls
Follow the track through tall Mountain Ash forest and lush ferny glades, to the picturesque La La Falls. The track has a moderate grade, which can be slightly challenging; allow 1.5 hours for a return trip. For a particularly impressive view, visit after heavy rainfall when the falls are at their most powerful.
Redwood Forest
Probably one of the best-kept secrets in the hills is the forest of Californian Redwoods, Sequoia sempervirens, a few kilometres outside Warburton. The Californian Redwood trees are significant because of the history and extent of the plantation. There are over 1476 trees ranging from 20 metres to the tallest being 55 metres.
Aqueduct Trail
The Aqueduct Trail runs the length of the upper Yarra Valley. A trial head is 500 meters from our house. Turn Left and head to Milgrove and Beyond. Turn right and make your way to the Redwood Plantation. Perfect for trail running, hiking in the forest, or biking.
Cora Lynn Cumberland Waterfalls
Follow the Cumberland walk and find the Cora Lynn and Cumberland waterfalls in a rainforest gully and take in sweeping views of the Cumberland Valley from Sovereign View.
Cross Country Skiing
The house is 45 minutes from Lake Mountain via Reefton Spur. Groomed trials and ski hire is available on the mountain.
