The accommodation is spacious with 3 double bedrooms, a fully self contained kitchen, lounge room, sitting room, seperate bathrooms and toilet, a large outdoor decked area, with bbq facilities.
Vineyard views to the east and bush setting to the west. Glorious sunrise and sunset. Relaxing, peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Carriages Spa Retreat. The restored train carriages were exceptionally clean and had a truly unique charm that made it feel special from the moment we arrived. The accommoda...tion was warm and cozy, perfect for a relaxing escape.

Lyndall was very helpful, friendly and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Every question we had was answered quickly, and nothing felt like too much trouble.

Overall, a peaceful and unique experience that I cannot wait to return to.

The unique train carriage accommodation was added to the property 17 years ago and a second eco carriage has since been added. Murray River

Reconnect with nature and share the finest of the outdoor life amid the sunny and vibrant Murray River region. Splash and dip your toes in the sandy river beaches and meander through soaring red gum forests. Catch a ride on an historic paddle steamer and explore the winding waterways. The region is home to abundant wildlife, including over 350 varieties of birds and a variety of species of mammals, reptiles and fish.

Fishing Canoeing

Horseshoe Lagoon is one of more than 7,000 wetlands along the Murray River. The area includes a ‘horseshoe’ shaped lagoon, a billabong and a small depression that fills during high rivers. Bring your own canoe and check water levels and access before you go. Fishing in the Murray is good with Cod, Silver Perch and Yellow Belly being the main catches.

Walking Trails In Gunbower National Park

There are walking trails in the surrounding Gunbower State Forest, which is on the Gunbower Island, known for its wetlands and wildlife it is the largest inland island in Australia. When water flows along Little Gunbower Creek, the area is known for its spectacular birdlife. There are many short and long walks in the area. A 14km-walking track near Koondrook will take you past the Eagle Tree and a number of cultural sites.
