The Canvas Barn provides a very unique and exclusive Yarra valley experience. This Eco-friendly, American style barn was hand built by the owners and offers an exclusive stay for families, couples or small groups up to 9 guests.
The amazing rooms of The Canvas Barn have been hand built by the owners, using both recycled and hand picked timbers, giving you a unique feeling of warmth and comfort. We are off grid to all services, therefore providing a sustainable getaway with solar power, tank water and a compost waste system reducing your carbon footprint for your time away.

From the moment you enter the peaceful valley of Old Warburton in the Yarra state forest, you will experience this special place tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Make use of our impressive undercover BBQ area, or dine at one of the many great cafes and restaurants in the local area. The pizza oven is available for use at a set cost of $40 (only suitable for bookings of 4 or more adults as it is very large and takes at least 4 hours to heat up). We will provide the equipment and firewood required for you to create some delicious food. Feel free to create lovely pizzas, roasts and then bake your own bread!
The Bedford & Breakfast tiny house can also be booked (on request) with the Barn for groups of 7+ guests for an additional $120

The bed layouts are very unique and handmade. The main room is a queen size bunk bed and the second room is a cosy double, with a standard single and kids single above. Kids single is still appropriate for a smaller adult. There is also a double sofa bed available if required.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. STRICTLY NO PARTIES!
The property is in a very quiet area, which we expect guests to respect, please come and enjoy a quiet and peaceful time away and have a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
If you plan on coming away with a boom box and karaoke this is not the place for you. Even it is only 2 guests (which has happened).
We also request that guests continue their interactions inside from 10.00pm please.
We do live upstairs in a separate area, have other guests staying and neighbours to be considered.

2. Wifi is limited. It is nice to have a digital detox, but if required for work we can assist you.

3. We ask if guests can read our welcome folder on arrival. It has some basic guidelines to acknowledge during your stay with us, and local tourist information.

Such a unique, cosy and exciting place to stay. The owners were so lovely and helpful and the bike trails were so easy to access. We had a perfect night, will be back.

Beautiful accommodation with everything thought of. we didn’t spend much time outside as it was freezing cold but the Woodfire inside the house definitely kept us warm.

Cog Bike Cafe

We popped into the quirky Cog Bike Cafe for our early morning coffee fix which seemed to be the go-to spot for the local riders.

Warburton Community Garden

A great spot for picking some fresh herbs and produce for our home-made pizzas!

River Swimming

During summer months, the river offers shade, picnic areas and beautiful swimming holes, or stretches of rapids to ride over on tyres or kilos. Grab a fishing rod and try your luck at catching your lunch.

La La Falls

Follow the track through tall Mountain Ash forest and lush ferny glades, to the picturesque La La Falls. The track has a moderate grade, which can be slightly challenging; allow 1.5 hours for a return trip. For a particularly impressive view, visit after heavy rainfall when the falls are at their most powerful.

Britannia Creek Cave

Guided by Warburton Adventure co, and suitable for the whole family, you can discover the underground wonderland of Britannia Creek Caves. A subterranean river system that will take you through tight passages and into cool cave chambers.
