Additional Information

COTTAGE DETAILS
Designed especially for a memorable 'couples getaway' with all the mod cons, incl. gas log fire, 3 corner spa, mod kitchen, big LCD TV, dvds, Airco, Free WiFi etc.
A very special place that was even featured in 'Home Beautiful Magazine' & Chanel 9s "Postcards' show.

The cottage is really designed for a couple, and although it can sleep five, we recommend no more than four if adults due to the small size of the second bedroom.
The main bedroom takes up the entire mezzanine floor upstairs and has a queen bed.

The small 'Bunk-room' is downstairs and has a 'trilogy' or 'trio bed', (Double bed with single bunk above).

The bathroom has a three corner spa, lovely heated floor & heated towel rail.

Although it's two story and two bedroom, it's actually a small & cosy cottage and just perfect for a couple, like a 'tiny home', but bigger :)

The tariffs quoted are based on a couple, (twin share), so if it's for two singles extra fees apply as the second bed/room needs to be set up.

Note to those that like to sleep in...Due to the design of the cottage and with the main bedroom being on a mezzanine floor, it is difficult to darken the room fully with blinds so it has quite a bit of light that comes in in the morning.

GUEST ACCESS
The cottage is on its own block with its own entry and you have exclusive use of it.
A great alternative for a 'staycation', (as a work-from-home alternative). Special 'extended stay' rates may apply for stays over one week, (available for off peak periods).

MINIMUM NIGHT POLICY
Booking requests that overlap Long Weekends or other periods that do not meet the long weekend 'Minimum Night' requirement may be declined

EXTRA PEOPLE
Please stick to your original booking request and not add more people after booking. I will not accept parties or groups to celebrate a special event.

SERVICE FEE
Please note that the 'Riparide Service Fee' is the commission charged by Riparide and not the fee to service the cottage. Although the costs involved in servicing the cottage are factored in to the pricing, we do expect guests to respect the cottage and leave it in a reasonably clean and tidy state.
All kitchen items returned to cupboards/drawers must be PROPERLY cleaned and dried as we want to give our guests good reviews so they can continue to enjoy other great properties available through Riparide :)

Bodhan’s cottage in Aireys Inlett was beautiful and we will definitely be returning! The cottage had all the winter creature comforts, great heating and comfortable bed. Very centrally located, on the... first morning we walked to the cafè just under the lighthouse for breakfast. Next evening we walked to the Aireys Inlett Pub. Thank you Bohdan for a lovely stay during the school holidays.

Bohdan was a very accommodating and attentive host. His stay is truly one of a kind and is conveniently located close to many neighbouring areas to explore. Our only critique is that we didn’t stay lo...ng enough!

The accommodation was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed, even during the colder season. We especially appreciated being able to cast Netflix to the TV, and enjoyed the thoughtful extras like the chess board, little chocolates and DVD player with a selection of DVDs. The kitchen was also immaculate and well-equipped. Thank you so much Bohdan! 🙏🏽

Beautiful house, private, with all the bells and whistles. Bohdan has even provided all the basic pantry items needed to cook if needed. Beautiful upstairs bedroom, great downstairs area with full kitchen and a corner spa in the bathroom. Would definitely recommend it.

Aireys Inlet

Always having loved the rugged coastline along the Great Ocean Road, and wanting to live near the sea, in 1998 I moved to Aireys Inlet where I have fond childhood memories fishing from the bridge my uncles help build, and surfing the area as a teenager. I designed and built the 'Unforgettable Seaside Cottage' (AKA 'Aireys Overboard Seaside Cottage') which was completed in 2004 and has become a favourite for many regular guests who come back year after year. I wanted to create a place that was distinctive and unique and that I would want to come and stay at myself. A place that would leave fond memories of an amazing seaside escape.

Split Point Lighthouse

Construction started in late 1890 and the lighthouse was illuminated in September 1891. Some ten shipwrecks prior to 1890 along the Surf Coast prompted authorities to plan the lighthouse. Little has changed to the lighthouse and the 2 (one cottage is split in two) quarters since it was built. The buildings are heritage listed and the quarters are now privately owned. As the Spit Point Lighthouse is still a functioning lighthouse, access is by tour only. The lighthouse is open daily for tours, weather permitting.
Cafe Onda

Cafe Onda

A great surf-themed cafe just a short walk from our stay with yummy eats and great coffee! These guys have some beautiful plant-based menu options and some lovely local produce too.
