The Settlers Cottage was an amazing stay for our honeymoon, such a beautiful relaxing place , everything thought off for you and the owners are so lovely if you get a chance chat I would highly recomm...end it!
Fishing is Dam is also great , catching Redfin on lures is amazing and very large ones , good for kiddies or the adults!

We had the best time!! The space is warm and inviting and in such beautiful surroundings. We really got to relax and enjoy our time. The big comfy bed and heated flooring in the bathroom felt particul...arly luxurious. The kitchen is well set up and perfect for creating a wholesome meal and eating in front of the fireplace. Cannot recommend this property enough.

Twenty years ago, my husband and I decided to move from Melbourne to the Yarra Valley and we never looked back! The quiet and serene environment, we have found to be a draw card for many of our friends and visitors. We therefore decided to rebuild the dilapidated historic cottage into a striking bed and breakfast and self contained style accommodation, enabling us to open up the property and so share all its joys with those who want to take in and enjoy this type of setting. We derive great pleasure from this.

Exploring The Glenlowren Farm
We made ourselves a cup of tea, rugged up and went to explore the farm. The animals seemed like they'd been up for hours, just casually munching on grass, unbothered by the fact that we were there. We made our way around the property, visiting the sheep, cows, ducks and birds. There was so much to see, but at the same time it was so peaceful. It seemed like we were in a world of our own.

Yarrawood Estate Winery
We stopped in to try some local wines - just a 5 minute drive from the cottage. We didn't know what we were in for!
This place is perfect for everyone who loves great wine with a relaxed atmosphere.
Tash took us through a tasting of their entire wine list. We enjoyed hearing about the team behind Yarrawood and the process of winemaking. She also was giving us great insight into the sweet life of country living.
Good chats, friendly staff, awesome wine - what more could you want.

Mount Toolebewong
Mt Toolebewong is a peak at the western end of the Donna Buang Massif, 55 km east of Melbourne. It is within the Yarra Ranges National Park, overlooking the wine growing areas of the Yarra Valley. The summit is at 744 m, snow covered in winter. The views from the high points across the Yarra Valley towards Melbourne and beyond are outstanding.
Tanglefoot Track
Discover the Tanglefoot Track, a scenic walk through the majestic Mountain Ash forest of the Toolangi State forest. The track, which leads you into fern gullies and cool, temperate rain forests, offers a magical experience for visitors. The track is 9km one way, taking about 3 hours.
The Singing Gardens
We stumbled across a cute sign that was intriguing. We drove down into what felt like a fairy garden. The Singing Gardens have been a part of local history since 1915. They are beautifully maintained by Jan and her family, and still pay homage to the original garden design - a true oasis.
We explored the gardens in the rain before scurrying into the tearooms to have a chat to Jan, who runs and owns the property.
Jan made us the best Devonshire tea we've ever had, and we spent a while enjoying afternoon tea and chatting to her about the local area by the toasty fire.

Wirrawilla Rainforest Walk
We headed to the Rainforest walk for a low-effort, but maximum reward, stroll through through the state forest. It was damp, cool and refreshing. The trees tower over us as we walked through, enjoying the sounds of the stream under the boardwalk.
Kalatha Giant Tree Walk
The Kalatha Giant has survived several major fires in its lifetime. Take a relaxed walk along the boardwalk to learn more about the forest ecosystem and the gigantic trees within. The Kalatha Giant is located at Kalatha Creek in the Toolangi State Forest and is approximately 65 metres tall.
