The Dairy was inspired by the original old dairy on our farm. We have built a stunning new home with its own rustic elegance and converted the original old dairy into large outdoor entertaining and barbeque area for guests private use.

The Dairy includes two bedrooms and a spacious, open plan living area that showcases the rolling green hills of the hinterland through featured floor to ceiling glass. The Dairy features a large stone fireplace built from local stone and furnishings that can best be described as comfortable, rustic and luxurious with soft neutral colours and oversized armchairs.

A stay at The Dairy allows you to soak up the peace and beauty of the more hidden parts of the Byron Bay/Ballina hinterland. You have easy access to the restaurants and shops of Bangalow and Newrybar as well as the beaches of Byron Bay and Lennox Head. The Dairy is only 7 mins drive from Newrybar, 15 mins from Lennox Head beach, and 25 mins from Byron Bay. Getting to The Dairy is easy, only 15 minutes drive from Ballina/Byron airport.

HOUSE DETAILS
The living room is enclosed by full-height glass bi-fold doors so the outside views become part of your inside experience whatever the weather. The bathroom features two showers (one being a rain shower) and a large concrete bath that overlooks an exotic fruit orchard through glass doors. The old dairy provides an atmospheric outdoor dining and entertaining area for the exclusive use of guests and includes a large barbeque.

The natural beauty of Killen Falls is just a five-minute walk away. We are also just a short drive from some world class surfing beaches - Lennox Head and Broken Head beach.

We call them Casas Secretas which means secret houses as they are out of the hustle of Byron and capture the secret beauty of the hinterland. The falls are covered by greenery that covers itself over the damp rock walls, exploring the area will have you feeling like you are in your own secret paradise as you listen to the cascading waterfall. Walk along the boardwalk to a viewing platform situated on the clifftop overlooking the falls. Take a picnic to the Rous Reserve picnic area and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the natural waterfall.

Surfing

Byron Bay is easily one of the most iconic places in the world to surf. Towards the lighthouse, The Pass is an incredible right hand point break. Ideal for longboarding.

Cape Byron Lighthouse

Head off on this beautiful coastal walk, which takes you hiking through rainforest, beach and cliff-top views to the Lighthouse. The 3.7km loop is one of the best ways to explore this coastline and take in the spectacular views.
