Riverwood Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. Spacious, clean and pretty, we were very happy and comfortable. The fireplace was lovely & warm and the location perfect for a visit to the Californian Redwood Forest and town centre of Warburton. Can't wait to recommend the cottage to others.

This accomodation is stunning! It looks very simple from the outside, but it is deceiving, even photos on the website don’t do justice. It is very spacious, half art-deco style with modern kitchen equ...ipments; such as Kitchen Aid Toaster & Delongi Espresso Maker. The host even provided the best coffee & chai tea I have ever tasted! Not to mention how clean the whole property is! Bbq outside looks outdated but you don’t need to use it, as it has great oven/grill in the kitchen & Mielle dishwasher. The fireplace made us felt very cozy. I highly recommended and wish we stayed longer. Next time.

After creating the Canvas Barn and tiny house we have set our hands to the newest project that is a very different style to our usual. But it has been a privilage to restore a bit of history that this cottage and add the feature of making it wheelchair accessible.

As well as the splash park, there are Picnic Tables, BBQ and Bathroom facilities. Also enjoy the large open lawn area which can be used as a space to spread a rug or kick a ball.
Oshannassy Trai
The O’Shannassy Trail is a 30 kilometre walking and bike-riding trail from East Warburton to Don Valley in the Upper Yarra Valley.
The trail runs in alongside the Warburton Rail Trail, however, the O’Shannassy Trail is set into the mountain ranges, and provides a different viewpoint to the landscape. Surrounded by tall trees, and lush ferns, the trail follows the historic open channelled O’Shannassy Aqueduct, and allows for impressive views of the Yarra Valley.

La La Falls Walk
Follow the track through tall Mountain Ash forest and lush ferny glades, to the picturesque La La Falls. The track has a moderate grade, which can be slightly challenging; allow 1.5 hours for a return trip. For a particularly impressive view, visit after heavy rainfall when the falls are at their most powerful.

Probably one of the best-kept secrets in the hills is the forest of Californian Redwoods, Sequoia sempervirens, a few kilometres outside Warburton. The Californian Redwood trees are significant because of the history and extent of the plantation. There are over 1476 trees ranging from 20 metres to the tallest being 55 metres.

Mt Donna Buang And Rainforest Gallery
A short drive up through the beautiful Yarra Ranges National park to the rainforest gallery viewing platform with wheelchair access, that takes you into the rainforest canopy 15 meters above the ground. Than drive further up the mountain for views over the valley, and in winter for snow play!
The Black Spur
An iconic drive winding through lush rainforest joining the Yarra Valley to the Marysville mountains. Enjoy a picturesque drive through 28 kilometres of vibrant greenery. There are stops along the road to set up a picnic and see the brilliant ferns up close.
