The Sibbel House is a fully renovated mid-century modern design, lovingly created by Sibbel Builders in 1968 & restored in 2020. The stunning country retreat is set on two acres, sleeps 8 adults, 2 children, with 3 double bedrooms and a separate studio bedroom. Bask in light-filled, north-facing windows, facing Mt Riddle, close to Main street, Healesville Sanctuary, wineries & walking/ trails, you'll feel relaxed and inspired, from the moment you arrive!

The property is set on nearly 2 acres and has a large area at the front and a circular driveway with ample parking. The house is close to the Healesville main shops (20 min walk). On your way to the property, you'll enjoy the drive through wineries, orchids and farmland via the melba highway, an hour from Melbourne CBD.

DESIGN
This is not your typical holiday rental, It's an architectural house, designed & built 1968. The house was fully renovated 2020, with all the luxurious comforts, while respecting the incredible bones and heritage of the property. The kitchen is fully equipped with Miele appliances, Dishwasher, Kitchen Aid, Soda Stream, Air Fryer, Pots & Pans, trays for baking and glassware for wine & cocktails.

COMFORT
The house has been fully updated with underfloor heating, air-con/ heaters in every room, WIFI, new appliances, new bathrooms, sheer curtains and fully furnished by Zuster furniture. The property has an amazing outlook, with breathtaking views across the valley towards Mount Riddle.

ROOMS
The original layout of the home has been maintained, with a focus on family & socialising- cocktail in hand. The home has a very cosy, yet luxurious feel, reminiscent of the 70s when family, socialising, and a more simple life was achieved. There is a large living/ cocktail room with comfortable olive green velvet seating and marble finishes. As the focus is on relaxing & escaping, this room is also equipped with phone chargers & a 65 inch smart TV for when you want to take things slow.

FOUR BEDROOMS
The four bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning/ heating, underfloor heating over winter, sheer curtains, block out blinds- operated by remote control, luxurious 100% Flax Linen by Bedtreads and designer furniture by Zuster.

ONE- ‘The Olive Martini’ master room, has a Queen Bed, his & her wardrobes and an ensuite. The room faces the view of the cactus front garden.

TWO- ‘The Whiskey Sour’ bedroom, has a Queen Bed & built-in wardrobes. The room faces the side cactus garden.

THREE- ‘The Pink Flamingo’ bedroom, has a Double Bed and built-in wardrobes, facing North, the back garden & Mt Riddle.
Bedroom two & three share the Olive bathroom, with double basin vanity and double head shower.

FOUR- ‘The Pina Colada’ Studio bedroom is an open planned, separate, self-contained studio, complete with kitchen, bathroom, lounge, armchairs & 65 inch smart TV. Sleeping includes a Queen size bed & Single bunk beds, in the open-plan room- ideal for a family of four.
Note: the bunks beds are only suitable for children.

LAUNDRY
The laundry is equipped with a new Miele washing machine, washing trough, clothes hanging rack, ironing board, iron and additional sheets and towels.

Sibbel house was incredible! Exactly as pictured. We had a wonderful stay with our family. We really enjoyed relaxing in the backyard and daily walks into town.

We spend Christmas 2023 as a family as Sibbel house and we couldn’t have had a more perfect Christmas. The space was beautiful and everything we needed was there. The house comfortably fit all 10 of u...s and everything you could want from a destination Christmas was there. The only problem was that it rained, but I don’t think I can blame anyone for that!

Badger Creek Walk

Picturesque walk through magnificent Mountain Ash forest and 200 year old tree ferns. Not to mention the gentle gurgling of the crystal clear water of the Badger Creek as it tickles the rocks on its way by.

Mount Toolebewong

Mt Toolebewong is a peak at the western end of the Donna Buang Massif, 55 km east of Melbourne. It is within the Yarra Ranges National Park, overlooking the wine growing areas of the Yarra Valley. Kalatha Giant Tree Walk

The Kalatha Giant has survived several major fires in its lifetime. Take a relaxed walk along the boardwalk to learn more about the forest ecosystem and the gigantic trees within. The Kalatha Giant is located at Kalatha Creek in the Toolangi State Forest and is approximately 65 metres tall.
