Handcrafted cottage nestled in the heart of the Mohaka River Valley

Slow down and enjoy some time here on our farm. The nights are quiet and starlit, and the birdsong in the morning is blissful. Handmade, using locally grown Hawke's Bay timber and the skilful know-how and labour of our friends from Heritage Timbercraft—a family-owned and operated timber mill and timberframing business—helped restore this Pioneer's Cottage from the ground up. From the pottery to the rocking chair perfectly positioned for a sunset over the hills, it was all made on-site with hearts and hands that want you to experience a place woven together by locally gifted humans who love working with their hands! There are plenty to choose from - from guided fishing and hunting to horse treks, crafts, pottery workshops, knife making, and log-to-home tours. We are off the beaten track in all the right ways, with everything you never knew you needed and nothing you don't.

Guests can access the river for fishing, picnics, and water activities; they can use the walking and cycling tracks; and enjoy seasonal animal interactions, as Horse trekking is a wonderful way to see the property.


We do NOT allow pets (as we are a working farm).
