Mystique Forest Retreat is located on a windy mountain road rising from Healesville. It is nestled among an abundance of fern trees and greenery, a beautiful mountain getaway perfect for couples and small groups.

There is an abundance of natural light which floods into an open plan, high ceiling space. The interior of the house compliments both the wooden interior and the lush greenery surrounding the house while evoking a feeling of warmth and homeliness. There are two lounge areas with fireplaces and plenty of firewood.

This off-grid property provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. You'll be surrounded by the gorgeous Mount Toolebewong forest filled with wildlife such as Parrots, Lyrebirds and Wallabies. A cozy fireplace for the cool months and an expansive deck from which to enjoy a local Yarra Valley wine and those golden, orange and pink sunsets as they filter through the tall Manna Gums.
Make sure to explore the surrounding areas, chasing sunsets, feeding alpacas, going to a couple of local cafes to eat delicious food, having a little picnic on a field of daisies underneath a giant cedar tree and exploring different lookouts.

Beautifully located in rainforest but with the convenience of being ten minutes from Healesville. Peaceful & quiet predominantly birds are all you can hear. Loved watching the resident Lyrebirds wander past the windows. Great place to “unplug”

My Partner and I escaped to the Mystique Forest Retreat for some quality time together and our stay was nothing short of magic.

Sitting amongst the ferns and flowers, watching humming birds flit abou...t on the decking, listening to the calls of lyrebirds through the trees, the scent of the rainforest and the crackle of the fire.

We enjoyed the disconnect from the hustle of the city and loved being on the doorstep of Heallesville and the Yarra Valley, with so much potential fun in each day spent there.

The Hosts were kind, accommodating and easy to reach out too and I can say that we will be back again with certainty!

It was amazing seeing these cute, fluffy animals so close up and being able to feed them. We got super lucky as they are currently pregnant and usually do not come up to the fence at this time. The place is actually a huge flower farm (hence the name), and they have alpacas and a cafe where you can buy food for yourself and also the alpacas!

Healesville

Healesville is a Victorian regional gem with beautiful places to eat and drink we walked along the shops finding vintage shops, lollies and local cafes.

The Black Spur

An iconic drive winding through lush rainforest joining the Yarra Valley to the Marysville mountains. Enjoy a picturesque drive through 28 kilometres of vibrant greenery. There are stops along the road to set up a picnic and see the brilliant ferns up close.
