Our visit to the Cottage was amazing. just what we needed for a relaxing time. My little 9 month old boy had fun exploring the farm and meeting all the animals as well as a beautiful walk through the ...paddocks to the beach. Rose could not have been more accommodating and hospitable. It was such a beautiful place to wake up to every morning.

We had an amazing stay! The cottage is gorgeous but it’s the heart and soul of the place and people that had the biggest impact. The private access to the incredible beach was a highlight, as well as ...an evening spa and pizza and coffee and the farm shop. We also made a trip to Shine Falls and highly recommend. Also - comfiest bed so had the the best sleep!

Fishing Or Swimming At Our Beach

A short 5-10 minute stroll through the paddocks to our beach. On a calm day this is safe for swimming, otherwise the Waihua River flows out here.

The beach has some great fishing spots, let us know if you want a guided experience.

Pizza At The Farm Shop

We had the most delicious pizzas from the Farm Shop, which is open on Sundays and right next to the cottage. Visitors can also buy produce from the farm here.

Explore Waihua Beach

Stretching for kilometres along the Hawke Bay coast, Waihua Beach is a stunning, remote, black-sand beach you won't want to miss if you're in the area. We went for a morning walk and had the whole beach to ourselves.
