Eastbourne is a great place to walk, with beach and bush tracks, there is a reliable bus service and you can also catch the ferry from Days Bay to Wellington, Seatoun or Somes Island.

Was a really lovely place to stay. The outdoor bath was definitely a highlight and the gorgeous view of the bay.

A beautiful historic property in an amazing location literally at the water's edge. We were unlucky to have rainy weather doing our stay but the cottage was a fantastic cozy hideaway and a great spot to watch the sea birds happily braving the elements.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, Eastbourne is one of our favourite locations in Wellington, and the beach front position is a perfect example of why we love this beautiful quaint little suburb... so very much. There is an abundance of local produce in the village, we bought fresh fruit for breakfast and delicious steaks for the BBQ. The cottage has an incredible history and the views are truly magical, a bubble bath at sunset is an experience that isn’t to be missed. The cottage is super cosy, comfortable and has everything you could wish for, even a picnic basket to take down to the beach. If you love nature like we do, the Pencarrow Coastal trail is a must. You can walk the track or hire a bike, here you can find rugged coastline, wild goats, lake views from the lighthouse and if you are lucky you may even get a glimpse of the Kaikoura Ranges on a clear day. Thank you for a beautiful stay at the Beachfront Cottage, we will be sure to visit again in the near future.
