My partner Juan and I loved spending our first anniversary weekend here. Valerie the Vintage Van was so cosy to snuggle up in with only the peaceful sound of the river streaming outside to break the s...ilence. We cooked around the fire pit and had hot baths in the outdoor tub with a blanket of stars overhead, without all the city light pollution to block them out. It was so refreshing to be completely offline for a couple of days, no phone notifications, just being in the moment and listening to a downloaded playlist of our favourite songs. When we ventured away from our little Valerie sanctuary, we walked along the dirt tracks to search for birds and enjoy the sunset. The highlights were seeing many Wedge-tailed eagles and Greater Gliders just up the mountain in Copeland Tops, a short drive up the road from Valerie. It was a magical getaway but was over far too quickly so we are eager to return. Thank you Douglas for having us!
