Nurture Creek is a hobby farm set on 20 acres in beautiful Monbulk, the crown jewel of Victoria's Yarra Ranges. With a mix of pastures and wild bush, it is a haven not just for our rescue farmed animals but hosts of wild birds, deer, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and more..

We aim to provide more than just a place to stay; we offer an opportunity to learn, engage, and make lasting memories with the heart of our farm – the animals. Whether you’re seeking peace and privacy or an interactive farm adventure, the option is yours.

The Cottage at Nurture Creek is a recently renovated self contained, timber cottage for up to 5 people featuring:

2 large bedrooms (one with a queen bed, the other with a double/single bunk)
Spacious, open plan lounge/dining
Modern galley kitchen with all appliances including oven/cooktop
Modern bathroom with spacious rain shower

THE ANIMALS

Our family just keeps growing and at present we have four horses (Ruska, Jane, Rocky & Cedric), two highland cows (Jasper and Clancy), four goats (Billy, Splodge, Snip and Milo), two alpacas (Sebastian and Ferdinand), two pigs (Wilbur and Pumpkin), an assortment of chickens, two turkeys (Tom and Tim) and Indy and Willow the Border Collies to keep them all in line.

All are friendly and love people and trust us, you've never been so calm as when brushing a highland cow.

We sometimes have foster babies, calves from the dairy industry that we look after until they find their forever homes, this is a busy time with bottles and medicines at various times of the day, not to mention love and cuddles needed on tap.

Please Note, Nurture creek is a NO Smoking Property.

We are a nature retreat with and pride ourselves on our beautiful hills air and natural beauty, if you must smoke, please leave the property to do so. We don't wish to expose other guests, family or animals to toxic fumes, if you are found smoking cigarettes or vapes you will be asked to leave without credit or compensation for your stay.

If the room smells you'll also be charged an additional cleaning fee of no less than $120

Animal Experience

The farm offer these wonderful animal experiences where you have the opportunity to go beyond the fence and in with the animals. Cuddle, scratch and groom them, its a lovely experience that just adds another dimension to the farm stay.

Feeding The Animals

We started the morning by following Bek and Adam, helping to feed the animals. It was a real farm experience that my little one will never forget.

Adventure Style Picnic

Starting with a little clue inside a picnic basket left on our doorstep, we followed clues to find produce around the property. This very fun hunt led us through forest and past animals to a picnic rug with wine, laid out on a hill overlooking the beautiful farm views.
