We loved our 3 night stay at Billabong Falls. It was central to all the beautiful villages in the Dandenong Ranges. As the property is nestled in amongst the trees you feel like you are escaping the r...est of the world.
Our 3 year old son was very Impressed with the waterfall pool. Although it was wayyy to cold for me to get in.

Located in the cool climate of the Dandenong Ranges, Olinda Falls is an ideal spot to have a peaceful picnic. The leisurely walk to Olinda Falls is only 500m and is shaded from the car park all the way to the falls.

1000 Steps Rainforest Walk

The 1000 Steps Walk is a tradition for fitness enthusiasts across Melbourne. Finishing the 3km trek one of the most popular walks in the Dandenong Ranges National Park. Do not underestimate its steep terrain.
Plaques along the trail portray the lives of the soldiers who fought and died on the real Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea, during World War II. Note weekends on this Track can be extremely busy, particularly in the mornings.
Mushroom Hunting at Kalorama Oval

Mushroom Hunting At Kalorama Oval

If you can find yourself some pine trees in autumn or winter, you might be lucky enough to find the pine’s best friend: saffron milkcap mushrooms! Delicious and easy to identify, but make sure you do your research.

Lysterfield Park Mountain Bike Trails

The trail network is made up of existing management vehicle tracks and the newly designed State Mountain Bike Competition Course (built for the 2006 Commonwealth Games).
