Forest Bathing on the Mountain
Adventure in Welches, Mt Hood & River Gorge, OR, US
This cabin is located in a gorgeous, peaceful forest loaded with tall trees dripping with moss and morning dew. It's the perfect getaway for anyone needing some time being nurtured by nature; a clean, spacious and modern dwelling stocked with every amenity you could ever need, including its very own Sasquatch named Harry!
There are many options for enjoying the peace and quiet that this property offers. Stay in and read with views of the forest from the big picture windows, sit outside around the fire pit making s'mores, or take a walk around the forest among the ferns. The cute town of Welches is just two miles away and has a large grocery store, a gas station, numerous dining options, a very cute gnome-themed coffee shop, and a pub with pool tables.
Many adventures await you, including a trail within walking distance from the front door. The Bonanza trail leads you through a lush forest along the Salmon River, eventually leading up to Huckleberry Mountain with view of Mount Hood. There is also the Wildwood Recreation Area, which is just a couple miles away and has trails and a salmon viewing area. Or take a drive further up the mountain to participate in other activities depending on the time year you visit; skiing, mountain biking, alpine slides, snowshoeing, and hiking are just some of the activities Mt Hood has to offer.
