Our Chalet Getaway at Mount Hood
Adventure in Welches, Mt Hood & River Gorge, OR, US
Our journey to the Chalet started off slow and easy with a visit to Timothy Lake along the way. We paddled around the lake on our stand-up paddleboard, taking in the sights and the summer sunshine.
After soaking in the natural beauty for a while, we made our way to the cabin and took the rest of evening to settle in to our cozy getaway.
The next day was for adventure! We set out on a hike to Umbrella Falls, with a pit stop to grab some sandwiches at High Mountain Bakery & Deli. Afterwards, we caught some epic views of the mountain right from the highway, and enjoyed golden hour by the roadside wildflowers on our way back to the cabin.
We spent the rest of the night enjoying food, games, wine, and each others good company. The next morning, we caught up on some emails, played a few more rounds of cards, and said our farewells to this gem in the mountains. It was a quintessential PNW summer weekend that left us with sun-kissed skin and a handful of pretty memories we won't soon forget.
