Two Seasons Mountain Getaway

Coffee and excitement fueled our journey up to the mountain as we were so excited for a weekend getaway in nature with our friends and our pups. It's always a HUGE bonus when an accommodation allows our furry friends to come along for the adventure! Upon arrival, we were truly stunned at how beautiful this home is! We all kept saying "this house is a dream!. With its large windows facing the private backyard, vaulted ceilings with cabin accents, modern decor, glowing gas fireplace, huge master bathroom bathtub, and 3 spacious bedrooms we knew we were about to have a great weekend.

The first evening we spent our time enjoying the home. We popped open a bottle of wine, played some music on the record player, let the fire rage behind us, battled it out in Monopoly and other board games (throwing the frisbee in the fully fenced backyard for our dogs in between turns), made some dinner and settled in for a chill night with friends.

When we woke in the morning, we headed out to grab some local coffee from Fernie's to start our day. After loading up the pups we ended up toward the mountain to let them get their exercise in and to have them experience their first snow of the year. At Timberline Summit Pass we let them get their zoomies out of their systems by playing with the frisbee and rolling around in the snow. In the afternoon we took them out again to walk along the river via the Pioneer Bridle Trail. This was a beautiful fall wonderland this time of year! It was so fun to have two seasons (fall + winter) in one weekend and to be able to enjoy them both in such a beautiful landscape.

On the last morning, all the boys of our group woke in the middle of the night to head toward Timberline Lodge to begin their ascent of Mount Hood. It was a long journey toward the summit with breathtaking views all along the way!
