Pahoia Paradise Beach Stay
Adventure in Whakamārama, Bay of Plenty, NZ
We arrived at Pahoia Beach Stay just as the sun was setting - the beautiful view immediately set the tone for our stay. Yellows and pinks bouncing off the tranquil water back into the sky, it was pure bliss and peacefulness, just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Back to the basics, The Duck’s Nest is a unique set up with a side-by-side caravan and cabin nested in an animal rescue sanctuary - a dog friendly escape perfect for your whole family. This cozy space is set-up with all your necessities.
We loved being only 30meters from the beach and the property had quirky little areas you could escape in making the most of its water line. We enjoyed spending the afternoon on the property playing Molkky, swimming and using the kayaks to go for an explore.
Pahoia’s nearest town is Omokoroa. We stopped here to play on the amazing playground and go for a swim at Omokoroa beach. It was here that we nabbed our coffee fix at Alma Eatery and enjoyed a big eggs benny breakfast at the local boat club restaurant called Skippers. We also ventured out to Puketoki reserve to let the dogs enjoy a 45min bush walk in the shade. This is a great walk to do if you have a dog!
We enjoyed being surrounded by nature and having access to all the water activity equipment. Tracy, the owner was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. This place is an ideal getaway for family and dog owners who enjoy an eclectic mix of farm meets beach lifestyle.
