Soulfulness in the Vines
Adventure in Yellingbo, Yarra Valley, VIC, AU
Hitting the road early Saturday morning, we set-off on an adventure to somewhere new. After a few stops around the area to check out some local sights, and enjoy a cheeky sausage roll, we checked into the Amazing Luxury Vineyard log cabin in the Yarra Valley foothills.
We arrived to a stunning view across the vineyard and a warm, welcoming cabin - the perfect spot to slow down and call home for a few days. We settled in with a glass of wine by the fire before heading out for dinner.
We woke up the next morning to a gorgeous sunrise, ready for more exploring.
The rest our time was spent exploring the area, walks in some beautiful parks and forrest areas, and of course being in the Yarra Valley, looking to experience some of the amazing food and wine on offer.
We can't speak highly enough of the accomodation, so warm and homely, perched in the middle of the most beautiful vineyard. Left us feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Highly recommend a stay at the Luxury Vineyard log cabin.

Things We Did
- Walk
- Lake
- Restaurant
Visiting Emerald Lake Park on the way through to the cabin, we walked the trails, climbed some trees, talked and laughed the whole way. Easy and fun walks with beautiful surrounds
On the way through we spotted the trestle bridge and decided to wait for the train to come through to watch it go over the bridge and explore the surrounding bush.
Visiting the Maroondah reservoir on a very peaceful and still afternoon, we walked some trails, across the dam wall and up to the lookout.
Heading up to Warburton to get some more nature, we ended up at the Rainforest Gallery, where theres a platform 15m up in the tree tops and a nice though short walk the trees.
After a day of exploring, Herd was the perfect place to enjoy some amazing food and local wine. Highly recommend for a really fun vibe, awesome staff and epic eats.
