Light & Airy in Aireys

The girl gang was arriving later that evening to our little pocket of paradise, so I took it upon myself to whip up a dinner fit for the queens we are. The kitchen was fully kitted out—it felt just like home—and there was no way the welcome wine was going to waste.

Our sweet beach haven was only minutes from the ocean, made up of two main buildings joined by a massive wooden deck right in the middle, perfectly connecting the spaces. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area was warm, inviting, and full of light—just like our hearts. It was the kind of stay that made you feel grounded and completely at home.

We wasted no time diving into Thai green curry, wine, and stories from our dating lives. Han stole the show with the story of the week—no competition there. Let me tell you, the dating world is wild, friends.

The next morning, we slept in and wandered into the heart of Aireys Inlet for brunch at a vibey little local café. Think crispy hash browns, strong double-shot lattes, and perfectly poached free-range eggs. I’m not sure if it was the sea breeze, the cold shower, or the food that brought me back to life—but I was definitely feeling a little Pete Murray that morning (seen better days, ha!). #blindedbywine

We popped into the local French bakery—charming Frenchmen and fresh pastries galore. Honestly, all the sweet distractions a single girl could ever need. Let’s just say, I was fully cured after that.

We took our treats back to the abode—sans Frenchmen, much to Amber’s dismay (LOL)—and enjoyed tea and tarts on the deck, listening to the waves roll in. The sun was shining bright, just like our smiles.

That afternoon, we lounged around in the living space, which was overflowing with lush indoor plants, board games, and designer coffee table books. The sunlight streamed through large windows, giving the whole space an airy, serene feel. It was pure bliss—especially knowing how hectic our lives can be.

The next morning, we rose with the sun and made our way down to the beach. Less than five minutes later, we were on the coastal track to Eagle Rock Lookout. What a magical way to start the day—and what a ripper of a view!

We packed up our rooms, gave thanks to our little sanctuary for such a wholesome escape, and left with hearts full of gratitude. Two nights wasn’t nearly enough when you feel so at peace in a place like that. We’re already planning the next visit—with a bit of girl gang recruitment on the cards.

We grabbed ourselves some French baked goods from Le Comptoir which was full of sweet distractions! Ha! We took them back to our beach abode and enjoyed them over a nice cuppa tea on the deck!
