Jan Juc weekend reset

After leaving the city on Saturday afternoon, we made our way down the coast to Jan Juc, stopping at Doc Hughes for wine and bruschetta in a bright, seaside space. Our accomodation was cosy and beautifully styled, thoughtful details and clever design that made it instantly feel like a retreat.

We spent Sunday chasing ocean views from Bird Rock Lookout to Bells Beach South, with breakfast at Bomboras, a few local shop stops, and a beach walk between. The pace felt easy, unhurried, just how a weekend should.

Our final morning was spent with our host Chella, shaping clay bowls in her pottery studio while the sound of the ocean drifted through. A creative, salt-soaked reset, the perfect reminder of how restorative a simple weekend by the sea can be.

A wonderful class learning how to make pottery and the wheel. Our lovely host Chela took our class and it was so much fun and a really different type of adventure that we highly recommend.
