Biloela (Aboriginal for white cockatoo) is a truly special tiny house that’s big on charm and character. From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly cosy, secluded and wrapped in nature’s embrace, surrounded by towering native trees and sounds of birdsong. The beautiful timber interior gives off the ultimate rustic “cabin in the woods” vibes, and we adored the homely, quirky details - especially the stained-glass windows.

Surprisingly spacious for a tiny house, Biloela features a comfortable lounge area, a full kitchen and bathroom, and a loft with two beds. We loved spending our time playing board games, soaking up the peaceful forest views with a hot chocolate in hand, enjoying wine in the outdoor seating area, and gazing up at the stars through the skylight above the bed at night. There’s even a little path leading down to a creek on the property to explore.

There’s plenty to do nearby, with the iconic Puffing Billy steam train just a short drive away and Emerald Lake offering a beautiful spot for a scenic walk. On the way in, we discovered White Wolf - a café full of character serving delicious organic coffee and food.

At Biloela, you truly feel like you’re in your own private slice of paradise, nestled among the trees and lulled by the sounds of nature. If you’re looking to unwind, switch off and escape the daily grind, this is the perfect place to do it.
