Cottage By the River
Adventure in Flowerdale, Yarra Valley, VIC, AU
There’s a place that wraps you in calm the moment you arrive, a little creekside cottage surrounded by nothing but birdsong, swaying gums and the gentle flow of water. Mornings begin slowly here, with coffee in hand and mist rising over the creek.
Days drift by between cozy fires, long conversations on the deck and spotting kangaroos wandering through the open landscape.
Evenings are our favourite — a grazing board by the water, the sky turning gold, and the crackle of the fire pit as stars appear one by one.
It’s the kind of escape that makes you breathe deeper, move slower and feel wonderfully far from the world, even though the city is just over an hour away.
