Hi, I'm Vera

I was born in Belarus and raised as a third-culture kid in Germany. At sixteen, I bought a tiny, inexpensive camera so I could have something of my hometown to hold onto before making a move to the US. That moment sparked a love for visual storytelling and documentation in me, and before long, the camera became a constant companion in life.

My family relocated to the US when I was a teenager, and I fell in love with Pacific Northwest. I graduated with a BA from The Evergreen State College, focusing my studies on art history, photography, and creative writing. Shortly after, I moved to Seattle to pursue my work as a professional photographer. Outside of my business, I worked as a gallery curator and studio manager for a number of years. Currently, I balance my creative practice with writing and consulting.
