Discovered by CharlotteA Rustic Escape in Hawke’s Bay
Te Mata Peak is an absolute must while you're in the area, especially around sunset. The views from the top are incredible, with an uninterrupted 360-degree panorama across Hawke's Bay. There are plenty of walking tracks to explore, as well as mountain biking trails for those wanting a little more adventure. We headed up in the evening and watched the landscape glow as the sun dropped, and it was easily one of the highlights of the trip. It's a spectacular spot that feels completely different from anywhere else I've visited and is well worth making the time for.
