Peaceful Ranges
Adventure in Narbethong, Yarra Valley, VIC, AU
We arrived in Narbethong on Friday afternoon and spotted the cabin tucked neatly among the trees. It felt instantly inviting. Modern, well designed and a lot more luxe than you usually get in a bush setting. Think hotel comfort, but with birdsong instead of traffic.
After settling in, we lit the fire and spent the evening outside while the property got quieter around us. It was the kind of peaceful that makes you realise how loud regular life is.
The next morning we drove to Marysville and did the walk to Steavenson Falls. The hike was easy, the scenery was beautiful and the waterfall was a great payoff. Afterwards we headed to St Hubert’s for a long, relaxed lunch, then later made our way to Healesville for dinner at HERD. Both spots were such good picks for food and wine.
Back at the cabin that night, we lit the outdoor fire and unwound properly. No rush, no plans, just time to sit and take it all in.
The whole weekend hit the perfect balance. Comfortable, scenic and close to great walks and even better food. It’s the sort of place that had us wishing we had an extra night.
